The Finow Canal is the oldest still navigable artificial
waterway in Germany.
The Niederfinow ship lift overcomes a height difference of
36 meters in the course of the Oder Havel Canal German’s
oldest ship lift reliably serving the needs of commercial and
recreational navigation since 1934. The new Niederfinow ship
lift will enter testing mode in 2020.
